Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, born on 5th January 1986 (pronounced as [diPIka Paduko or [paDuko]) is a famous Indian actor in films. She is most often seen in films that are primarily Hindi-language. There have been three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which make one of the country's most highly-paid actresses. Time Magazine ranked Padukone as one of the 100 most influential people of influence in the world in 2018. The magazine also presented her with an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. In her teens Padukone played badminton in competitions at national level. She later quit the sport to pursue a profession as a fashion stylist. Then, she was getting offers to appear in movies and her first acting role was as Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone was then cast in the double in the role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood release.
