This mix of reggaeton and pop music did not just draw attention back to the style, but also to Latin music as a whole. Billboard's Top 100 had four songs in 2016, as opposed to two songs from 2015. At the peak of Despacito's fame and popularity, 19 songs mostly in Spanish made it to the Billboard Top 100. by 2020 the number will increase to 41 songs from this genre. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in 2017. Then, popular artistes began to collaborate with reggaeton performers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny in the project MIA MIA (2018) while Madonna collaborated with Maluma for Medellin. The year 2000 saw a number of reggaeton stars were complaining about its inclination towards mainstream. But a fresh generation, including Rauw Alejandro, aimed to keep reggaeton evolving. It often blended elements from electronic dance music, and various other styles.
